High School • Metro champion in the 100M, high jump, long jump and 4x100 relay • Set all-time high jump record at 7’ 4 ½’’, which still stands today • Won four State championship titles (200M, high jump, and long jump) College • Six-time All-American high jump specialist at the University of Washington, holding school’s high jump record at 7’ 6’’ • Won PAC 10 Title • Finished 2nd in NCAA Indoor Championships and 3rd in NCAA Outdoor Championships Professional • Competed in three World Championships and four US Olympic Trials • Standing at 5’8”, set his personal best height at 7’7” – almost 2’ above his head • Placed 2nd all-time in the world for height overhead ratio for high jumpers • Ranked 3rd in the Nation for high jumpers, and ranked 10th in the World Other • Inducted into Husky Hall of Fame (1999) and WIAA Hall of Fame (2010) • Inducted into the Robert Chin Foundation Asian Hall of Fame
