High School Three-time basketball All-American guard; also competed in track and softball Led the girls basketball team to the 1980 state title Set state tournament scoring records, including a 38-ppg average College Three-time All-American guard at Louisiana State Set school records for points, assists, and steals over four-year career Other Led the U.S. women’s team to the gold medal at the 1983 World University games Played five years professionally overseas before becoming one of the first women on the Harlem Globetrotters Inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 Named to the “All-Century Team” as “state’s greatest female player” by The Seattle Times in 1999 Inducted into both the National High School Hall of Fame and the WIAA Hall of Fame in 2004 Coached Garfield girl’s team to state championship in 2005; retired as a coach in 2016, but remained involved as a mentor/trainer for Garfield basketball CEO of ReJoyce Fundamentals Academy (a non-profit that connects sports and STEM programs in summer) Hired by Highline High School as a Re-Engagement Specialist
