The Barbara Twardus Merit Award was created in 2018 to honor a community member for their outstanding
support of Seattle Public Schools, specifically the Athletic Program. This honoree exemplifies integrity,
leadership, and community involvement, which parallels the values of Seattle Public Schools Athletics.
The Frank Inslee Service Award was created this year to recognize an individual who has made significant
contributions to positively impact student-athletes. This recipient embodies sportsmanship, dedication and
service by engaging schools and developing student-leaders, which celebrates the mission of Seattle Public
School Athletics.
